10 Important Tips for Vinyl Rips

The RIP Vinyl offers you the freedom to record any sort of audio source from your PC and create any WAV or MP3 file. This file is then burned and can be used for personal use of the operator even if you are not at home.
Before ripping the vinyl some of the important steps that need to be followed are mentioned below.
- Put your record turntable next to the computer and attach the red and white RCA male plugs of the RCA-to-mini-plug audio cable.
- Connect the RCA-to-mini-plug audio cable to the line-input connector on your computer. Put the vinyl record turntable with the side facing up.
- Make sure that the computer you are using for this process should have a Mac or Windows version of an audio recording program such as Audacity.
- Select the audio recording program and select the ‘Line-input’ from the drop down menu from the input setting tab.
- In order to start the recording, just put on the record turntable of the vinyl record and press the record button.
- When one side of the vinyl has finished playing then press the ‘Pause’ button of the audio recording program and place it back by turning it over on to the record turntable. Now again pressing the ‘Pause’ button continue the recording of the vinyl record.
- When both sides of the record are done, press the stop button. Remove the RCA-to-mini-plug audio cable from the computer and record turntable.
- Now select the ‘Export to MP3’ by entering into the ‘File’ and name it and save it.
- Do not quite during saving a MP3 file as your audio recording program is saved on the hard disk of the computer.
- Now quit the audio recording program when your MP3 file has been saved.
