This product is excellent for the price and is great in performance. For the first timers setting up the turntable is easy as everything is straightforward. Even though there is any difficulty a video search can be helpful to solve your problem. I was interested in buying a turntable and considering my budget this product is perfect as compared to other similar brands. If your looking to convert your lp's to your computer or cd or whatever this is the product for you. This item is good value for the price and does an adequate job of archiving your vinyl records. Gem Sound DJ-USB belt-drive turntable is the ideal solution for digitalizing vinyl music to PC, Mac, and other popular digital formats.

The turntable will play 33 1/3 LP's, 45's and 78's. I don't have many 78's but with this I can listen to them through a stereo via the RCA out jacks. Try that with one of the other turntables that requires software to convert from 33 to 78. It also has a reverse button which makes functioning easy to handle. The only problem is that instruction book is not provided and lacks dust covers. I would recommend this product for a starter because at this price what else can one get “as we get what we pay for”.
